(Located in Punggol)
Spanning 4.2km, HDB’s Punggol Waterway is Singapore’s longest man-made waterway and has received international acclaim such as the Global Superior Achievement Award from the International Water Association for demonstrating excellence and innovation within the field of water engineering. Instead of functioning purely as a pipeline connection between two reservoirs, Punggol Waterway was conceptualized using novel technologies and green practices to resemble a natural river front within an urban residential environment. The technical site visit features key highlights such as an overview of the Boardwalk and Watersports Promenade and allows visitors an appreciation for the rich heritage inherent within the conserved districts such as Old Punggol Road.
