Presentation Title
Application of Alternative Fuels in Diesel Engines
Abstract
This paper reports the use of hydrogen, natural gas, emulsion fuel and biodiesel derived from waste cooking oil, pine oil and kapok oil in diesel engines. Two kinds of fueling strategy were adopted. The effects of these alternative fuels on performance and emissions formation were analyzed. The results indicate that the use of alternative fuels in diesel engines will be a promising way to mitigate the oil dependence and to meet the stringent emissions regulations.
