Mr David Newman

Mr David Newman has been the President of the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) since September 2012. ISWA promotes sustainable waste management worldwide and is present in more than 40 countries, with members in a total of 80. ISWA collaborates with governments and international organisations to develop waste management practices that improve the environment and provides training and information and pushes for waste management investments globally to fulfil its mission: To Promote and Develop Sustainable and Professional Waste Management Worldwide. David’s extensive professional experiences include managing the bioplastics association, the national compost association, the national waste association and formerly Greenpeace in Italy. He lives and works now from London where he focusses on biochemistry and is a consultant on waste issues.
