    Presentation Title
Conceptual Design for a Stand-Alone Solar Photovoltaic Powered Peltier Air Conditioner

    Abstract
The present research provides an insight regarding the potential to employ a Peltier effect based air conditioner (AC) energized by a photovoltaic (PV) system which may be applicable in tropical developing countries where grid access limitations and costs are critical factors. Thermal comfort and the properties of the Peltier device are investigated in this paper as the starting point for further investigation to take place in order to design a full thermodynamic model that will allow us to determine under which conditions this technology can be successfully employed as an AC.
