Side Event: IES-WiSER Forum

20 July, 9 am – 12.30 pm

The IES-WiSER Forum serves as a platform to raise advocacy for diversity and equality in the engineering profession. It will focus on empowering and promoting women leadership in the engineering industry and professional fields, creating greater awareness of women in the field and promoting this field to aspiring female engineers.

Targeted at women who are current or potential leaders in the field of engineering, science and technology and female students from universities, polytechnics, junior colleges and secondary schools, the Forum will cover two main segments, namely Women in Engineering and Women in Science & Research. A series of topics ranging from women leadership in the industry and gender diversity to challenges in the field will be touched on. Female leaders who helm these fields will share their experiences and invaluable insights with our participants.

With the increasing number of women joining the engineering, science and research arena, the IES-WiSER Forum looks to acknowledge women’s contributions and garner a stronger community in this male-dominated industry.
